Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
You could hardly ask for a more central location than this stylish boutique B&B on a picturesque street between the Castle and Cathedral. Owner of the Georgian red-brick townhouse, Morag Ellingham, makes guests feel welcome with homemade cakes and scones with jam and cream. The bedrooms are beautifully presented. Magnolia Tree, overlooking the garden and eponymous tree, is painted in the softest greys; Copys Cloud has space for an extra bed; Stiffkey Blue is a single. In the morning a continental breakfast is laid out, with freshly squeezed juice, home-baked bread and croissants, ham, goat cheese and figs. At a time to suit you, you make your choices and take a tray to your room.
