The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Facing a three-quarter-mile white sand beach lined with palm trees, this is a child-free Caribbean resort hotel. It stands set in large tropical gardens with a lagoon nature reserve where pelicans can be seen. Accommodation is in suites, cottages, and guest rooms; most open on to the beach; each of the Gauguin cottages, in the gardens, has an individual plunge pool. Alfresco meals are served at the large Sea Grape Restaurant, Ismay's Restaurant and Bar at the southern end of the beach, the intimate Gauguin where you dine in your own private cabana, and the informal Barefoot Grill (in the other restaurants you must remember to wear your sandals). Or you can order a Romantic Beach Dinner for two at the gazebo. There are a well-equipped spa, live entertainments, cocktail parties and barbecues, complimentary water-sports, jogging trails and tennis courts, and lots of little yellow birds. Weddings are held.
