This hotel, set in an art deco villa on Amalfi drive, offers a genteel, old-fashioned charm, and has been in the same family since it opened as a hotel with six rooms in 1904. The spacious rooms have sea views (some partial) and are furnished in antiques and with original handpainted majolica tiles. One honeymoon suite has green emerald floor tiles, a shell-shaped king size bed and a jacuzzi on the terrace; another is on two levels and has a private garden with an infinity pool. The hotel has two restaurants – one in the main building that is more formal, and a poolside restaurant serving grilled fish and pizzas. There's also a bar serving canapes. A glass lift set in a cliff takes guests down to the pool overhanging the sea. The hotel offers a shuttle service into Amalfi every 30 mins during the day (but not from 12-3pm).
