Located in Charlottenburg, near the conference centre, is this 'excellent' hotel, 'civilised, peaceful', wrote one reviewer; the atmosphere is quite smart and formal, with pleasant staff. Most of the bedrooms bedrooms (some with balconies) overlook Lietzensee and its small park. The gourmet restaurant, Au Lac, serves classic Southern German dishes and some Mediterranean specialties, served in summer on the lovely terrace facing the lake. Excellent buffet breakfasts are served until late. There is also a bar, and an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna for guests' use. Breakfast is extra.
