Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
This stylish hotel, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is set in an 18th century former carriage house and it retains much period detail, such as a wood-panelled lounge, wood floors, antique furniture and objets d'art. It's in a tranquil location adjacent to the picturesque Rozenhoedkaai and a 5 minute walk from Market Place. As well as a lounge in English country style, there's a bar, a courtyard garden and a breakfast room, which offers waiter service, eggs cooked to order and a glass of champage. Rooms are small, as is common in such period buildings, with suites offering more space, as well as jacuzzi tubs and Ralph Lauren bedding. Children are well catered for, with all equipment available, although there's only sufficient space for kids in the suites.
