Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Just west of the western gate of the “amazingly picturesque”, tiny home town of Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley, is this former 18th-century relais de poste, now Gilles de Crick”s restaurant-with-rooms. A visitor reported, “His imaginative dishes are worth the visit; the “Yeux fermés” [surprise] menu was the best I had in France. I also had a very nice room with a balcony.” The rooms are themed after Impressionist painters, and some have terraces; there's also an apartment sleeping five people. The restaurant is hung with paintings and has a huge picture window facing the garden.
