The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
This 'agreeable' small hotel is located in a quiet street at the northwest end of Jardin du Luxembourg (two minutes' walk away) and near St-Sulpice and Montparnasse. It is owned and managed by M. and Mme Inchauspé, and the decor by David Hicks is a 'tasteful blend of antique and contemporary comfort'; the lighting is excellent and the linens luxurious. Standards rooms are small, and bathrooms are ornate but modern. The hotel has the feel of a private home, and guests often gather in the seating area of the lobby in the mornings and evenings. The staff are happy to point guests in the direction of sights and make bookings for recommended restaurants in the area.
