The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
'A lovely little hotel,' says a visitor to Frederic and Cécile Lespinasse-Jacquemin's quiet, friendly B&B in three buildings in the old town. Other comments: 'Excellent. Good value. Nice ambience.' 'Helpful staff.' 'There is a beautiful patio and eating area where you can have breakfast, lunch or tea. The colours are Provençal yellows and blues. Our room looked directly at the Roman arena.' Other rooms face the theatre or the hotel's garden. Most are large; some have a modern decor, some a beamed ceiling. There's no lift, but staff are always ready to assist with luggage. Access to the onsite spa (adults only) is included with each reservation. A range of sandwiches, soups, salads, tarts and cakes are available from the tearoom, Le Comptoir du Calendal, which is open 24 hours a day for hotel guests and from 8am–8.30pm for visitors.
