The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
In two buildings, separated by a garden with a swimming pool, is M. and Mme Grasset's 'relatively modern' Logis de France, popular with golfers. 'Cheap and cheerful, with better food than one would expect; fantastically convenient location, agreeably shaded terrace,' say readers. Philippe Grasset is chef, his wife Marilyn is front of house. The restaurant is open to non-residents too. 'Wines from local vigneron, attractively priced.' Breakfast is a continental buffet. Bedrooms all have balconies or terraces, and fridges (except for triples and family rooms); they are 'basic, but adequate, cool in summer'.
