Set in the centre of Val Thorn, in the Trois Vallées ski area, this family-run ski-in/ski-out hotel has garnered much praise for both the warm interiors – typically wood-panelled and cozy – and the impressive five course dinners served at night. These typically include a choice of main courses, usually including Savoie specialities, and a fondue or raclette is usually served one night a week; on four nights a week, the meal is concluded with an impressive dessert buffet. Rooms vary in size, and include family options; the best have balconies with panoramic views. The hotel has what they call a “Cosmic Sauna” – a sauna set outdoors on the terrace, as well as indoor spa area with a spa, hammam, jacuzzi and beauty treatments. There are also three welcoming lounges with roaring fires. Friendly and attentive service ensures many return guests.
