The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
'Good value, good location, extremely helpful staff,' says a returning visitor to this B&B hotel. It is in a pedestrianised cul-de-sac between St Stephan's cathedral and the Danube. 'Amazingly quiet', 'very friendly', it has a modern decor: much maroon, dark wood furnishings and oriental rugs. 'Our room was extremely comfortable,' wrote a couple who appreciated the large bathroom 'with bath'. The 'good, basic continental' breakfast, in a 'lovely room' with chandeliers and a fountain, is accompanied by newspapers in several languages. 'The lift is small', sometimes necessitating a short wait. There is a roof garden, and an Internet corner.
