'Our favourite Bruges hotel,' says a regular visitor after 'another comfortable stay' at this B&B, run by Thierry Florial. Overlooking the 'lake of love' in Minnewater Park, it is a gabled 18th-century manor house decorated in traditional Flemish style. 'We first went because of the excellent parking facilities. Little did we know that we would return so often over the years.' Earlier guests wrote of the 'excellent value', and peaceful, well-tended garden. There are beamed ceilings and a large fireplace in most public rooms. Bedrooms are 'spotless'; those in the main building overlook the lake. 'Good buffet breakfast in a lovely room.' The Beguinage is close by, and the station is an easy walk away. Parking is free if you book your room through the hotel, otherwise it is €10 per day.
