Occupying an 18th-century cottage, this immaculate three-bedroom, 20-seater restaurant with rooms holds a Michelin star for inventive, locally sourced tasting menus.
Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Nine months after Greg Anderson and Rebecca Williams opened their 20-seater restaurant with rooms at the centre of Holt in May 2021, Michelin bestowed a star. Occupying a rendered Georgian brick-and-flint cottage, it is immaculate within, whitewashed and smart. The bedrooms have a king or super-king bed, an espresso machine, sweet treats, Norfolk toiletries. Greg’s credentials include stints at Cumbria’s L’Énclume, Gravetye Manor, and six years as head chef at Morston Hall. Everything possible is made inhouse, and locally sourced tasting menus include dishes such as rabbit and Amarena cherry; turbot brawn, Amalfi lemon and Espelette pepper; Middle White suckling pig. Stay two nights and they'll compose a different menu for the second.
