The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
This stylish South Shore B&B has a boutique-hotel feel with treats and state-of-the-art music systems in bedrooms. Run by Mark and Claire Smith, who have many years' hospitality experience, the detached period house offers spacious, individually decorated bedrooms, each with a king-size bed; snacks and drinks; bathrobes, a power shower and spa bath (plus TV) in the bathroom. A large conservatory overlooks the garden with sun loungers as well as the hot tub. Breakfasts offer a 'full Blackpool' and lighter choices (special diets can be catered for) to set you up for a stroll to the famous promenade and Pleasure Beach. The hosts have good eating-out suggestions, too.
