With the canal on one side and River Dee and steam railway on the other, Olivia and Georgina Holben Lumsden's tall, redbrick Victorian townhouse is a very stylish adults only B&B. The bedrooms are a mix of antique furniture and modern styling, with dreamy Farrow & Ball-style paint colours, works by local artists, original fireplaces and servant bells. They are supplied with good tea, drinking chocolate, cafetière coffee, fresh milk on request, luxury toiletries. All have a walk-in shower, and room 2, the most spacious, has a bathtub as well. Both rooms 2 and 4 look onto the River Dee and the heritage railway; pretty in pink, room 3 overlooks the canal. There are no public rooms but a continental breakfast is delivered in a hamper.
