It's the 'very friendly, chatty and helpful' host who makes this B&B such a pleasant place to stay. Harvey Roberts's home is in a terrace of little stone-built houses fronting the main street of a pretty coastal village. It is adults only but dog friendly. Our inspectors' room was 'painted in different shades of subtle greens', with 'good-quality bedding, an old-style rug on a wooden floor, a chandelier, a pleasant bathroom'. Two rooms have a free-standing bath. The breakfast room doubles as a lounge while the small decked terrace 'would be a pleasant place for a drink'. In the morning, a 'very nice' buffet is laid out while Harvey rustles up the cooked options, 'all perfectly done'.
