Georgian House Hotel
London
Single, double, family room, boutique chic, contemporary simplicity or a wizard-themed basement 'chamber' accessed by a hidden door in a bookcase – take your pick at this smart but quirky hotel spread across imposing, stucco-fronted 19th-century town houses, where breakfast is served in the Pimlico Pantry, and they do a magical afternoon tea (but no fairy cakes!)
Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
With spellbinding surprises for wizards and muggles alike, this whimsical and stylish Pimlico hotel is spread between the main, Grade II listed building and two townhouses nearby. Its contemporary accommodation includes everything from small single rooms to spacious family apartments. Harry Potter fans of all ages might choose wizard-themed basement 'chambers' in the main house: accessed via a hidden door in a bookcase, they reveal (faux) stained-glass windows, velvet drapes, trunks and tapestries. A café/bar serves breakfast, drinks, snacks and an enchanting afternoon tea. Potion-mixing is a magical option, as is wizard cocktail/mocktail making. Stairs are steep; cheerful staff help with luggage. Buckingham Palace is a short walk away.
