Just a few minutes' stroll from both Windsor Great Park and the castle, this Regency building is home to a friendly, affordable hotel where a complimentary drink awaits guests on arrival. Air-conditioned bedrooms range from snug standard doubles to junior suites with coffee machine, a bath and walk-in shower. Oriental flourishes might include an ornately carved wooden headboard, a wall of Holden’s lemur wallpaper complete with hummingbirds and exotic blooms. In the restaurant, the menu lists crowd pleasers such as steaks, fish pie, burger, vegetable chilli. However, Merry wives may prefer instead to enjoy a meal and a tipple in the comfortable bar.
