Leave your sandy shoes at the door and pad up to Paul and Alison Elliott’s chic, exclusive B&B, occupying the second floor of Victorian Britannia House moments from the beach. The suite is decorated in restful shades, with a king-size bed, comfy armchairs and wall-mounted TV. The bathroom has an electric shower over a deep bath and is stocked with ethically sourced local toiletries. Breakfast, served at a table under the sea-facing window, includes Alison’s homemade bread, fresh fruit and a wide choice of dishes (locally smoked salmon, traditional butcher’s sausages, free-range eggs, French toast, the full vegetarian…). Days can be spent kite surfing, paddleboarding, fishing and swimming within sight of St Michael’s Mount, just across the water.
