The White Hart Hotel
Lincoln , Lincolnshire
Refurbished throughout by a new owner, this Georgian coaching inn in the city's historic heart offers a good choice of comfortable bedrooms, bars and dining options.
Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
In an enviable location in Lincoln’s historic heart, within sight and sound of the cathedral where the curfew still tolls the knell of passing day, this former coaching inn is undergoing a swish makeover by new owner Andrew Long. 'The highlights are the location, the very friendly staff and the excellent value', said our inspectors, who enjoyed a large room with cathedral views. All bedrooms have a coffee machine and mini fridge, a restrained autumnal palette (greys, dusky pinks, plum), classic styling. In the 'characterful' Antlers restaurant a menu of bistro classics had some interesting choices – pan-seared turbot, broth, summer vegetables, smoked oil: masala roast carrot, yoghurt, dah, bhaji, which, 'while fine, was unremarkable'.
