Step inside to find oak beams, slate floors, a log burner, and locally sourced food in cosy dining rooms. Creative menus feature dishes such as scallops, almonds, red peppers, chorizo, romesco; cod, spiced aubergine, piperade, tempura courgette, pesto; or butternut squash, cauliflower tempura, curry broth, puffed rice. Bedrooms are traditional, and all have a fridge with fresh milk. Spacious Brentor, painted restful blue-grey, has a French-style king-size bed.
