Billed as a ‘farm’otel’, the Whitehead family’s adult-only property near Dorset's Jurassic coast is rustic hog heaven, with characterful bedrooms spread around farm outbuildings and purpose-built cabins and huts. Some have an outdoor copper bath or hot tub. The Coop has a mezzanine bedroom, an open-plan living/dining room/kitchen with mini oven, a log burner, and a bath on the porch overlooking a meadow. There’s a cinema in the hay barn, a shop selling artisan products. You can dine 'à la cart' in the Cart Shed on locally sourced dishes such as pea and broad bean risotto, pasture-reared chicken breast or a grass-fed beef burger, drink cocktail alfresco and make hay while the sun shines.
